Content Policy
What can be published on SetMates — in profiles, portfolios, services, opportunities, messages and reviews — and what cannot. Much of what members publish is public, so the rules are written with that in mind.
What belongs here
Professional creative work: portraits, fashion, editorial, commercial, product, events, behind-the-scenes and video stills; descriptions of the services you offer; opportunities and briefs for real projects; and conversations about that work.
Rights and consent
- Publish only work you made or took part in, and have the right to share. Credit collaborators where you can.
- Everyone identifiable in an image must have agreed to it being shared publicly.
- Do not remove watermarks or credits from someone else’s work.
- Do not publish images of real people that have been altered or generated to show them doing or wearing something they did not agree to.
Not allowed
- Nudity and sexual content. During the closed beta, nudity and sexually explicit content are not allowed anywhere on SetMates, including in portfolios. Swimwear, lingerie and implied nudity are allowed only where they are clearly professional and not sexualised.
- Anyone under 18 in a sexualised, suggestive or exploitative context, ever. This is removed and reported to the relevant authorities.
- Offers of sexual services, escorting or companionship, however they are described.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that demeans people for who they are.
- Graphic violence, self-harm, or cruelty.
- Illegal goods or services, or content that encourages illegal activity.
- Impersonation, fake profiles, or work presented as yours that is not.
- Spam, misleading offers, pyramid schemes, and requests for upfront fees in exchange for “exposure” or casting.
- Other people’s private information, such as home addresses, phone numbers or identity documents.
- Malware, phishing links, or anything designed to take people’s accounts or money.
Services and opportunities
- Describe what you actually offer, including what is and is not included.
- Prices you show should be the prices you charge. SetMates does not take payment, so do not suggest that it does, or that payments are protected.
- Opportunities must be for real projects. Say whether they are paid, and if not, what each person receives.
How this is enforced
Members can report content that breaks this policy. People at SetMates review reports and may hide or remove content, reject a portfolio image, or take action on the account. Hidden content stops appearing to others straight away. Every action is recorded with its reason.
