Community Guidelines

• Represent yourself, your experience and your work honestly. Show only work you made or took part in, and credit the people you made it with.
• Be clear about what you are asking for: the brief, the date, the location, what to wear or bring, how the images will be used, and whether and how the work is paid.
• Do what you agreed to. If plans change, tell the other person as early as you can, in the conversation for that project or booking.

• No harassment, threats, bullying, or hateful or discriminatory behaviour.
• No sexual advances, requests for sexual content, or pressure to change what someone agreed to. “No” is a complete answer.
• Respect boundaries on set: consent to how someone is photographed, touched, dressed or directed can be withdrawn at any time.
• Do not share anyone’s private information, including their location, contact details or images they have not agreed to share.

On SetMates, conversations belong to a collaboration, an application, an invitation or a booking. That is deliberate: it keeps the details in one place and keeps unwanted contact out. Do not use invitations or applications to send messages unrelated to the work, and do not use them to advertise or to recruit people elsewhere.

SetMates does not process payments, so members arrange payment directly. Agree the amount, the method and the timing in writing before the work, in the SetMates conversation for it. Never ask for, or send, payment in ways that cannot be traced or reversed to someone you have not worked with. Reports of payment scams are treated as serious.

Review the collaboration, not the person’s appearance or private life. Say what happened, fairly. Do not offer, request or trade reviews, and do not threaten a bad review to get something.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, block them: they will no longer be able to find you, contact you or apply to your opportunities. If someone breaks these guidelines, report the profile, image, message, opportunity, service, review or invitation. Reports are reviewed by people at SetMates, and the person reported is not told who reported them.

Depending on what happened, we may remove content, warn a member, limit what they can do, or suspend or close their account. Serious harm, sexual exploitation, and anything involving someone under 18 lead to removal. The Terms of Service describe how to ask us to look at a decision again.
